
MIAMI TANGO FANTASY FESTIVAL 2008 PRESENTS:

Carolina Sokalski & Diego Di Falco
Diego and Carolina have reached a prominent place in the world of Tango.
At the age of 20 they joined the original cast of the show FOREVER TANGO, becoming the youngest tango dancers in the history of
American musical theater on Broadway.
They also tour with the show in United States, Europe and Canada for over 4 years.
Carolina and Diego are also performing on the first version
of Forever Tango home video.
The show triumphed on Broadway in June 1997 and maintained
this competitive position for fourteen months.
The couple was nominated for a Tony award for "Best Choreography" and the artistic image of Diego Di Falco was used in all the show's promotional
materials, including the major billboards in Times Square.
They have since performed in more than thirty cities in the United States,
Canada, Europe, Israel, and Japan.
Diego began to dance at the age of four.
Tango Masters, ANTONIO TODARO, PUPI CASTELLO, MIGUEL
BALMACEDA, PEPITO AVELLANEDA and JUAN CARLOS COPES, who
nurtured his natural gifts from a very early age, guided him.
With his unique creativity, sensitivity, and tremendous dedication, he has
achieved world renown as a master dancer and instructor of the tango.
Carolina's artistry has also reached great heights.
As a young girl, she receiver a scholarship from Juan Carlos Copes to
perform with other young artists and with ROBERT DUVAL in the
documentary TANGO! Produced by National Geographic.
In 1991 she was invited to join the NATIONAL FOLKLORIC BALLET OF ARGENTINA.
More recently, the couple has participated as principal dancers and
choreographers in the show TANGO MAGIC for PBS.
They also perform a smaller version of this concert type show, at Carnegie
Hall in 2000 and 2001, and at Umbria Jazz Festival in Orvieto, Italy. Pablo
Ziegler and the quintet for New Tango, Joe Lovano, Paquito de Rivera,
Richard Galiano, Guidon Kremer, Gary Burton, wore some of the guest artist
they share the stage with in this opportunity.
They currently reside in the United States and continue to earn international
acclaim for their elegant, charismatic and technically demanding
performances, as well as their wide-ranging program of tango instruction.
They have sold more than 7000 instructional videos of their series of 7,
between 2000 and 2004.

Tete & Silvia
Pedro Alberto Rusconi ("Tete") was born in Buenos Aires on January 9, 1936.
At the age of 11 learned to dance with its mother and at the age of 14 he
danced in the clubs of its neighborhood of Pompeii, Argentina. In the
1960s, he was famous for dancing rock and roll participated and he was the
winner of various contests in various contests and he was also a disc
jockey. At 18 years old he was crowned Champion of Ball dances for dancing
no stop fro 137 hours. Tete lives for the Argentine Tango. Each night he is
seen at the night club (or milonga) where the couples dance together and you
can see his unique cadence that imposes the music.
Silvia Angelica Ceriani was born in Buenos Aires on May 23, 1961. In
1994 she started dancing Tango with Tete, as her teacher, then as his
companion. They have carried out successful tours in Europe as teachers and
dancers for over 10 years. She is also
one of the most famous disc jockeys of Argentine tango at one of the best
milongas in Argentina, Salon Canning.

Roberto Reis
Over his extensive career, Roberto has gone to more than 45 countries, participating in the most prestigious tango shows. He began as a professional dancer in 1981 performing folk dances with the Brandsen Ballet and
later with the Santiago Ayala Ballet "El Chucaro". In 1988 he began dancing tango with Juan Carlos Copes' production "Tango-Tango". In Argentina he has been a staff
member of some of the most important and traditional tango establishments, including La Ventana, Casablanca, El Viejo Almacen, Michelangelo, Piazzolla Tango and
Taconeando. Outside of Argentina he has toured with many tango dance companies,
including "Forever Tango", "Fascination Tango" and "Piazzolla Tango", and has
participated in such films as "Assasination Tango", directed by Robert Duvall.

Guillermo Salvat & Silvia Grynt
Guillermo Salvat & Silvia Grynt started dancing together in 2001 when they
joined the cast of the show "Una Noche de Tango" in Buenos Aires. Since then
they have performed and taught worldwide, in the five continents: from
Australia to Europe, South Africa and the entire American continent. Their
international experience in teaching makes them shine in their participation in
some of the most important international festivals, like the "4to Encuentro
Internacional de Tango Argentino" in Rome in 2002, the "U.S.T.C. Tango Fantasy" in
Miami in 2004, 2006 y 2007," Boston Tango Festival" 2007, "Celebrate NYC
Tango& film Festival" 2007.
They have been part of prestigious companies such as "TangoX2" and "Solo
Tango", and they have participated in many shows like "Estampas Porteñas",
"Magia de Tango", "Piazzolla Puro", "Soñando Tangos", "Esquina Carlos Gardel" and "Rojo Tango", performing in the most important stages of Buenos Aires and all over the world, like the Sydney Opera House and the Kremlin Palace's Theatre in Moscow, among many others. In 2006 they have released their own show, "Tango-a-Tierra", which has been presented in Buenos Aires and in the Pretoria State Theatre, South Africa.
They are known and appreciated for their technical and precise teaching, as
well for their unique performing style.

Adrian & Amanda Costa
Adrian lived with his Argentinean grandfather in Paris until he was seven and it was his grandfather who introduced Adrian to Argentine tango, passing on to him his own love of the dance and its culture. Adrian began his dance training with Federico Guerin at the Centre du Marais in Paris, later becoming his teaching assistant.
Amanda began her classical training at the Conservatoire de Lyon before moving on to the Conservatoire National SupÈrieur de Danse in Paris where she obtained her professional State Diploma as a teacher of contemporary ballet in 1998. She began her professional career as a dancer and teacher in Paris in 1999.
Adrian and Amanda came together in La Rochelle in 2003, united in both their love for each other and their joint passion for dancing.
Together they created the Association Toca Tango, giving weekly classes in La Rochelle and Niort. Since February 2006 the Association Toca Tango has managed the cabaret "Jules et Jim" in La Rochelle, where they continue to organize milongas, concerts and workshops in addition to their regular classes. Since 2007, they also run classes for the association "Les allumÈs de Tango" in Nantes.
Adrian and Amanda visit Buenos Aires every year to work with the legendary maestros Jorge Dispari and Maria Carmen del RomÈro. They are frequently asked to give demonstrations there, and have made appearances in many of the countless milongas in the famous "temple of Argentine tango". They are regularly called upon to teach throughout France, Europe and the rest of the world.

Pablo & Ailica Repun
PABLO REPUN has been teaching and dancing tango professionally since 1993.
Pablo was born and raised in Buenos Aires where he had an extensive training
with the top professional Masters of Argentine tango. He has taken his
knowledge & experience both as a teacher and performer to different parts of
the world such as Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Germany and
throughout the USA including Alaska where he received a special invitation
from the Mayor of Juneau. He performed on TV in Brazil, Costa Rica and USA.
In 2002, Pablo moved to Miami, Florida where he now teaches and dances
professionally with Alicia Repun, also born and raised in Buenos Aires. They
together have a very active schedule teaching Argentine tango in the Miami -
Ft Lauderdale area and on the West Coast of Florida: Naples, Ft. Myers and
Sarasota in addition to their travels to Seattle and Alaska, and other
cities in USA and abroad.

Los Latigos
" Los Latigos", originally from Santiago Del Estero, Argentina with roots and essence where the Chacarera, Bombos (drums) and Boleadores were born. The energy and sentiment for our homeland that we project and transmit when we dance and teach have taken us to the most prestigious festivals, theaters and TV Shows in Argentina, and Miami such as The Carnival Center of Performing Arts & The Jackie Gleason Theater. We currently tour around the USA, Latin America and Europe.
